About Me
Greetings! My name is Anemone (pronounced uh-neh-muh-nee) and I am a licensed naturopathic physician and acupuncturist in the state of Vermont. I have imagined being a doctor since I was a young child, though my conception of ‘doctor’ has changed dramatically since that time. When I was a young adult, I found myself disappointed by the patriarchal structure of heroic medicine and equally intrigued by the magic and wisdom of traditional medicines. Several years later, I was introduced to qi gong and naturopathic medicine. I found deep resonance and inspiration in both disciplines. Medicine that addresses all of who we are - body, mind and spirit, both individually and collectively – has been essential to my healing journey. I invite you to join me on your own healing path!
I strongly hold the value that all humans have the right to wellness and safe, affordable health care. I recognize that systems of dominance and oppression affect not only access to health care, but directly injure our physical and mental wellness. I strive towards equanimity in my work and I am eager to create novel ways of serving the community that is not dependent on oppressive systems. I’m always happy to dream, brainstorm and set intentions toward this end with others. Please contact me if you’re interested in joining together in this collective movement!
I graduated with highest honors from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon in 2019 with a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master's of Science in Oriental Medicine. I then went on to complete a rigorous two-year-long residency with Dr. Edythe Vickers at An Hao Natural Health Care Clinic in Portland, Oregon. I joined Vermont Wellness and Integrative Oncology in Middlebury, Vermont in March 2022.
