Bodywork

Picture
One of my favorite forms of therapy are various types of bodywork. While earning my masters and doctorate degrees, I took classes in shiatsu massage and obtained my massage license. I have also studied cranialsacral therapy, myofascial release and visceral techniques with Michael McMahon, LAc, LMT. I find that bodywork added to a session helps relax and open the body and often makes other therapies more effective. The power of touch is unparalleled - it allows the body to unwind harmful patterns and is therefore true healing.

As a practitioner, my hands are diagnostic and help me understand your body and your patterns better. My fingers sense temperature, texture, receptivity and subtle rhythms in the body that you might not have access to verbally express. Sometimes touch brings the simple awareness of a sensation or a part of the body of which you might not have been aware. And that attention has the power to shift patterns and create space in the body for those stuck patterns to move.
